Policies:

Breakfast: A full two-course breakfast is prepared by a professional pastry chef and served in the dining room from 8:00 to 9:00 am daily. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available (self-service) in the dining room 24 hours a day.

Check-In: 3:00 pm and after. Earlier check-in is often available, depending on the day—please call. We request notification if you will be arriving after 9:00 pm.

Deposit and Cancellation: A credit card number is required to confirm your reservation and the first night of your stay will be charged at the time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard and debit cards. Cancellations require at least 7 days notice if received after we have provided confirmation of your reservation via e-mail or telephone. Guests who fail to provide 7 days notice will be billed for one night’s lodging or 50% of the entire reservation, whichever is greater. Refunds will be made if the affected rooms are rebooked. If you wish to reserve a room but do not use credit cards, please call us to make arrangements at 866-770-2909.

Gardenview Loft: Available by the week only, with each week commencing on Saturday at 3:00 pm and ending the following Saturday at 10:00 am. Light daily maid service and fresh linens are provided. Breakfast is not provided for weekly guests in the Gardenview Loft, but may be purchased for $10 per guest per day if desired. (24-hour advance notice is requested.) At the time of booking, 50% of the Loft reservation total will be charged to the guest credit card, with the balance due on arrival.

Mobility Issues: Historic Maplethorpe is not wheelchair accessible and some stair climbing is required as all guest rooms are located on the second floor. The driveway and parking area is level and paved, and a paved sidewalk connects the parking area and the front porch. We are happy to carry luggage for our guests from your car to the room.

Non-smoking: Smoking is not allowed inside the main house or the Gardenview Loft apartment at any time.
